WRITING
From long, ponderous prose set in far away fantasy lands to compelling literary reportage to sardonic media reviews to technical writing to straight journalism, I continue to write for purpose and pleasure. Here are a few examples.
VIDEO
Here's a curated collection of different style/tone/purpose videos that I did for game development in higher ed. These include the program launch for VR, some event coverage for social / YouTube, the recruitment video for the game art program for admissions, and a few others.

Ringling VR Major Launch Video
Ringling launched the first BFA in Virtual Reality. The goal was to create a two minute web video that would demonstrate the inaugural class's enthusiasm for the major while defining and establishing it as a distinct, separate entity from the school's Game Art program.

A fun sizzle of the first SRQ Game Jam
We gathered a small army for Ringling's first Sarasota Game Jam. While also participating (creating a Unity project called "Game Jam: the Game Jam Game") and taught workshops on Unity, GameMaker, AND NES development over the course of the weekend, I created this sizzle video to help drive interest in future events and celebrate the work of the students.
Why Game Art at Ringling?

The Voice of the Students
In this game art video promotional video for the website, I had to find the personal, emotive attachment to the art itself as well as to the program. This was extra challenging, as this video had to be completed during the peak of pandemic lockdowns.
Brand Activation at SXSW

The Holistic Experience
This is short form documentary style event footage of Ringling Students activating their brand and giving a first look at their VR game at SXSW. For this, turnaround had to be immediate, show the scope and breadth of the work being done, and capture the entire experience in the voice of the students.
