MUSIC VIDEOS AND LIVE PERFORMANCES
Homage? Pastiche? Satire?
Others May Fall - All Night

My music videos have turned Others May Fall into video game characters and into super heroes. For this video, the band wanted something a bit less bizarre - to pay homage to the hip hop videos of the late 80s.  So we deconstructed a handful of those videos and combined that with some live performance footage.

Symphonic Nerdism
The Miami Symphony Orchestra plays The Legend of Zelda

In this short featurette, I attempt to capture the reverence of the Miami Symphony Orchestra as they play a stunningly moving suite of music from Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series. Yes, the music is undeniably gorgeous, but it was also important to capture the significance to the performers.

Prodigy
DJ Jake De La Cruz

Even though he was still a few years shy of being able to drive, DJ Jake De La Cruz wanted the respect of a young, ambitious, but professional DJ. This was a big opportunity for him, getting the chance to perform with some of his influences at the 93.3 Jingle Ball. I sought to capture the enthusiasm and gratitude, but also the talent, confidence, and maturity of him as a young artist.

Sizzle
Tears of Mars - CD Release Sizzle

This was a short, promotional sizzle real of Tears of Mars CD release show.  It features their haunting and powerful melodic sensibilities and their strong and commanding stage presence.

Kickin' it old school...
Others May Fall - Falling Apart at the Seams

They wanted to be turned into pixelated video game characters.  I turned them into pixelated video game characters.  This video was part of a short promotional film that saw them trying to rescue their frosty libations from a local promoter in a vicious 8-bit confrontation.

Shameless Self Promotion
Eat Your Neighbors - Passive Aggressive Epithet

I had a rare opportunity during filming of my last documentary to sit down with one of my inspirations, Grammy Award winning producer David Sardy.  He had us in to his project studio in LA to bash out this track.  Before leaving LA, we filmed this video to go with it.
