What I’ll bring…
Demonstrated creative writing and storytelling talent
I'm a perpetual student of the written word. From long form fiction and fantasy, to film treatments and scripts, to writing for comics and games, to narrative journalism, to marketing copy for a prestigious art college, I have a long history and broad portfolio of creative storytelling.

The ability to pair copy with visual elements
I've worked on numerous transmedia projects over the past fifteen years, and for each have had to pair thematic or narrative copy with not only visual elements, but also with marketing needs, and have had to make abstract connections to things like music scores and gameplay mechanics.

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Beyond the experience that came from teaching Writing for Digital Media at Ringling College of Art and Design, I have many years of experience hosting workshops, talks, and panels at events such as PAX, GDC and SXSW. I've presented pitch decks to major retailers and investors, have run Global Game Jam locations for almost a decade, and most recently, gave the Keynote at an event for DreamWorks Animation.

A love of games
As a game developer, I've spent many years dedicated to the art of play. I've worked with The Strong Museum in Rochester, New York to help find and preserve game artifacts, have developed several of my own game projects, and have helped enable tens of thousands of users of my software to realize their own childhood ambitions of creating games. To say that I highly value games and the art of play would be a massive understatement.
