The New 8-bit Heroes Trailer

This is the trailer for what began as a fun vanity project, but quickly became a feature length documentary about the value of childhood ambitions and the unexpected consequences of injecting them into our adult lives.  The film toured festivals internationally, won awards, and ultimately ended up on Amazon.  You can watch it here.

Caster's Blog, Act 1

Directed by creative partner Austin McKinley, I was cinematographer for the first Manasota Films project.  For a microbudget film, this project had the additional challenge of trying to make an adaptation of the novelization of a fake blog interesting to watch in cinematic form.

NESmaker Launch Trailer

This fun video was the launch trailer for The New 8-bit Heroes NESmaker software.  It helped raise over 700% of the pre-order goal.  This video continues to be used for promotional purposes, and even two years later continues to drive new audiences to take interest in the software.

Mystic Searches teaser trailer

This is an animated teaser trailer for The New 8-bit Heroes' flagship project, Mystic Searches.  It involved working with a creative team spread over thousands of miles.  I acted as creative director, composer, and editor.

The NESmaker Byte-Off Awards

 

We do many things to keep engaged with our user base.  One is to have an annual competition, complete with over the top awards show.  In this show, users get to see their creations come to life, interacting with us and each other, and have the validation of professional in the field evaluate their work.  This is 2019's award show.

The Next Nerdy Documentary
Skill Shot, A Competitive Pinball Doc

After a viewing of our last retro-gaming film The New 8-bit Heroes on Amazon, we were tapped to produce a documentary on the world of competitive pinball.  This was the first teaser.  The project was slated to film at the IFPA international competition in May, however the film is on hold due to Covid-19 postpoining the event.
